Once upon a time in this country only landowners were enfranchised to vote. This election is proving the Founders knew their intent. May I offer a variant…only taxpayers should be enfranchised to vote.

The genesis of this extreme thought may be laid at the feet of Don Henley and Bruce Hornsby… artists from “back in the day,” old school malefactors!

I have to wonder where these two gentlemen are today? I do not mean to single them out; they have many accomplices in the “entertainment bidness.”

But, in this week prior to the election, I have decided it is in my best interests to turn off the TV and accept what seems inevitable. I will guess that Henley and Hornsby, like the rest of MSM are in the tank for Obama.  

Before I digress any further, I like the cut “New York Minute,” ergo I listened once again to “The End of the Innocence!” With the exception of “New York Minute,” what a load of crap.

“Crap? you say, Will Penny?” Damn right Don and Bruce. While you two dirt bags are insulated from the excrement storm that is about to ensue, the rest of us poor schlubs are about to experience Obama-Biden socialism. While the rest of us are compelled to live Hollywood’s and the music industry’s dream of social, economic, and so-called political justice, you all will be ensconced in mansions and climes above the fray. In case my readers do not know what I am talking about, ask family members if they have a copy of the aforementioned album.

DO NOT GO AND BUY OR DOWNLOAD THIS ALBUM; YOU WILL ONLY BE FURTHER ENRICHING THESE TWO PERSONS THAT FOISTED THIS ON THE REST OF US!    

You say:

 “Will Penny, what proof do you have that Don, Bruce, Opra, Dave Letterman, (________________________fill in any names from MSM, Hollywood, music industry you chose) contributed to Atlas finally shrugging?”

Did you ever wake up at 3:30 a.m.; could not get back to sleep, begin channel surfing; land on a channel broadcasting paid advertisements for Mr. Murgatroyds' "Get rich in Real Estate!" 

"Mr. Murgatroyd will show you how to purchase distressed {translate that into buying properties by settling a lien, paying the back taxes, or misplaced improvements (a defunct gas station on property that is economically better suited for some other improvement)}.  All you have to do is sit back, collect the rent, flip the house, and you are on your way to becoming a billionaire!"   

(1) One has to turn the “misplaced improvements" and distressed properties into viable income producing assets and;

(2) Incorporation does not mean one has a license to purchase toys as corporate assets and not maintain a viable corporation.

The other news tidbit I garnered last week is that some 5,000,000 persons of questionable national origin, lacking assets, credit history, jobs, etc. got sub-prime loans. 

Since I declared “conservative” as my affiliation let me digress and describe my foundation. I have been working since I was 14. I can prove this via annual Social Security statement. 

To be absolutely candid, I began my career at the tender age of eleven (11). I wanted a new chin strap for my J. C. Higgins football helmet. I asked my mother (captioned in her high school yearbook as “American Beauty Rose”) for the .75 cents and she told me that she would give me the money if I cleaned up the garage.  

I really wanted to replace the chinstrap on my football helmet therefore I worked REALLY hard. Football is a secondary religion in Texas and in 1960, one’s football matriculation typically began in the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) program {not the same "YMCA" as made famous by the Village People}.

After a couple of hours and substantial improvement (which, upon reflection was sufficient reward for a job well-done) I received payment. I promptly marched up to the “Doak Walker (Highland Park’s Football hero of the’40s?) Athletic Store in the “The Village” (not a reference to the group identified above) and procured the chinstrap. 

Bottom line up front: I have earned every single nickel and have not been the recipient of any sub-prime ANYTHING! 

I am a conservative because I know that the United States is GREAT because of her free-market economy AND the freedom she provides(d) to succeed or fail (done both). 

America is great because when one tabulates “Good” v. “Evil” using an accountants’ “T,” the tally reflects America’s GREATNESS (despite what Michelle Obama believes) and EUROPE’S, RUSSIA’S, CHINA’S, THE TALIBAN’S, HAMAS, AL QUEDA’S EVIL! 

Stop and think; where else can one purchase distressed properties and if one is serious about the business, turn those “misplaced improvements” into viable, income producing assets and become a millionaire? To the best of my knowledge it cannot be done in Venezuela, Russia, China, or one of the “-stans.” 

Let me tie up the loose ends. If you buy Mr. Murgatroyds product, do not be a dirt bag and pass your losses on to the taxpayer through incorporation. (I knew a Master Sergeant that acquired 80 viable properties and earned every penny ever received in rental income.)

If you are one of the 5,000,000, or 500,000, or 50,000 DO NOT RUIN THE AMERICAN DREAM because Barney Frank, Franklin Raines, Barrack Obama said it is “Okay” to loot America and let the other person worry about it. You will not like “income redistribution.” 

Being a “conservative American” does not mean you are a corporate officer, federal official, or some other scoundrel that is compensated disproportionately to their actual productivity. 

Being an American Conservative means you want the freedoms paid for by Marines in “The Root” (anniversary this October 23), the 101^st at Bastogne, the fleet at Midway, the 69^th NY Infantry in the War Between the States (Civil War for you Yankees) HONORED BY KEEPING AMERICA FREE!

If there are to be any “Up against the wall Mother…(see Liberal Fascism, “The Secret History of the American Left form Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning”, by Jonah Goldberg, Doubleday, page 187) let them be the proselytes of William Ayers, Saul Alinsky, Mark Rudd, Tom Hayden, and those that collected millions in Golden Parachutes from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

My fellow Americans have we not had all the change we can stand already?

Obama is not just “change;” Obama is revolution!

I am not going to recite all of the “cha,cha, changes”  we have undergone since the Democrats recaptured the Congress in 2006. I am sure the Dear Reader is all too familiar with them.

However, let us confine the discussion to just one topic that Obama will supposedly change. Let us begin with the most obvious one and the easiest to identify: Gasoline! 

{Bear with me; I am only human and my capacity to cope with more than one crumbling pillar at a time is diminishing.}

Prior to the 2006 “Changeover” of the Congress, gas hovered around $2.60 per gallon on the East coast (source: eia.doe.gov). Now gas is around $3.50 ^ibid and “we” are told by Main Stream Media (MSM) that this is causing pain at the pump. 

I think there are a lot of “crocodile tears.” I drive the highways often and I see far too many so-called economy cars flying down the highway well beyond the speed limit. 

My all time favorite is a “Prius” driver that flew past me with the Obama Presidential seal and a bumper stick that read “I am saving gas!”

Many so-called enlightened drivers, touting their concern for the environment and bearing the Obama presidential seal seem to drive with total disregard for the price of gas! 

Let me cite another one and still related to gas consumption – boaters! I live overlooking a river. I am astounded by the number of boats plying the waters. I am pretty sure these boaters fit the definition of middle class (although that definition keeps shifting depending which side of class warfare one sits on). 

Do you have to have government to tell to slow down to conserve? Have you lost the ability of self-control or are you just ignoring the obvious in order to drive like a bat out of hell while you still can? Once freedom is lost it is very difficult to regain!

I launched into the discussion on gasoline because I believe the whole “pain at the pump” deal is a red-herring. I want to illustrate that if this economy were truly in the tank, thanks to Republicans and President Bush, then why are all names associated with the catalyst for the meltdown, the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, ALL DEMOCRATS!

Just in case you missed them here they are: Jim Johnson, Jaime Gorelick, Franklin Raines, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Barrack Obama. 

Apparently the voters are so sheepish and so profoundly taken with Obama that they are willing to disregard the facts. Let me take you back 30 years and paraphrase a lyric from Lennon-McCartney in a little ditty called “Revolution:”

“You say you want a revolution, well, you know…We all would love to see the plan…” 

In the case of this Revolution "We all want to change your head.”  

In my 56 years I have never been more alarmed. This is not funny.  I have written other material but cannot go forward with posting because of  the anxiety  I am experiencing over this election.

I checked some other blogs and I was reading remarks from Obama supporters telling conservatives to follow the purported old Chinese  adage, "If rape is inevitable, one might has well as enjoy it..."  or something akin to that. 

To be candid, I do not care about the fallout from the bailout (I am as poor as a church mouse)!   I care more about the direction the citizenry seems to willing to take the world's longest surviving republic.  

Nor do I care if the signs point to the "End Times."  Why, because if this truly is the End Time then at least the human race has unequivocal validation of a Supreme Architect of the Universe.  If my recollection of the Book of Revelations is correct, only 10,000 will ascend to Heaven leaving the rest of us poor schlubs to 1000 years of war. 

Patrick Henry said "Give me Liberty or give me Death!" I will happily spend whatever remaining time I have fighting for Liberty. 

The election is less than 30 days from today.  Pray that there is a "silent majority" and do something to stop the momentum towards driving the final nail in the coffin of Liberty. 

You know you will not be "polled" by AP, MSNBC, or any other main stream media therefore let me give you some momentum changing suggestions:

Write one blog entry and send it to Politco;

Forward a blog entry to Politico (or some other left wing organ);

Cut off your college age children from your financial assets unless they vote for McCain-Palin;

If you did not order a McCain bumper sticker, make one of your own.  Flood the clogged traffic arteries with homemade McCain-Palin stickers;

If your congressional representative is a democrat, call their office and tell them you are voting them out of office and against Obama. 

“Taxation destroys American livelihood by taking away disposable income that would be spent by consumers on goods and services. The net effect is an increase in the unemployment rolls and universal misery!” 

That quote came from my decades old spiral notebook which I happened upon while de-cluttering my house.  Every time I look at that statement I am blown away by the import of it.

Let me deconstruct the import of that statement by reconstructing what I recall of the lecture.   The only Macro term one needs to know to understand this concept is the “multiplier” effect.  This simple scenario explains how a reduction in sales, state, and federal tax rates results in greater revenue in the sales, state, and federal coffers.  The remarks in {brackets} are mine to facilitate the dear reader’s understanding.

“Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sixpack are in the market for a washing machine. 

The Sixpacks go to the store and purchase a washing machine.  This sends a message to the washing machine manufacturer to produce one more washing machine. 

The Sixpacks are feeling so good about their purchase they invite their neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Chowhound, over to see all of the modern conveniences of the new washer. 

The Chowhounds are so impressed that they decide to purchase a new washing machine.  This sends a message to the washing machine manufacturer to produce one more washing machine. 

{See where this is going…}

The Sixpacks, the Chowhounds, and tens of thousands of other consumers are participating in the free market economy.  Thousands of families going to the store to purchase washing machines cause the manufacturer to hire more employees to build more washing machines and consequently dryers.   

With their new found income the new employees go and purchase a myriad of goods and services.  The additional expenditure on goods and services cause other manufacturers to hire new personnel.  Department stores hire new personnel to sell the goods and services.  These new employees, benefiting from the reduction in tax rates, go and purchase goods and services. 

Thus lower taxes and the multiplier effect trickles through the economy…More employees translates to an increase in state, federal, and sales tax revenue.

This is all well and good until Democrats introduce the newest tax, purported to ‘level the playing field for all our citizens.’  For the sake of discussion let us call the new tax, ‘The Patriot Tax.’

The Patriot Tax (TPT) becomes law and all persons holding a job must pay the tax.  Oh, by the way, the TPT has an increased sales tax component, therefore the unemployed and the underemployed are compelled to pay higher taxes.  In effect, the TPT is a regressive tax, therefore the burden is borne by those who can least afford it – the disadvantaged.

The disposable income of the Sixpacks and the Chowhounds is diminished by several percentage points.  With a larger tax burden (less disposable income) the Sixpacks and the Chowhounds defer spending the remaining disposable income on a new dryer. 

The manufacturer of washers and dryers experiences decreased demand for his product and lays off employees.  Unemployment roles increase, families cannot meet their obligations, and general misery ensues.  To deflect the bad press, the Democrats and liberals

{and their willing accomplices in main stream media (a term not coined in 1977)}

blame the manufacturers, i.e. the rich.  Class warfare arises and more legislation is passed to level the playing field.” 

Any of this sound familiar?  Full employment reduces the need for billions of dollars in transfer payments in the form of welfare.  A reduced tax burden results in greater disposable income that when it is spent, sends a signal to produce more, and because of greater demands on production leads to hiring more workers, which provides new employees more disposable income, which is spent on more goods and services.  Hence the multiplier effect. Viola!

Why this is such a difficult concept for Americans to grasp defies explanation?  How democrats and liberals have been able to carry this off for 40, no almost 70 years is SICK. Please pass this along to Obama-Biden voters. Maybe my recitation of that lesson learned so long ago will be like an atom in a cyclotron and destroy the underpinnings of the Obama-Biden pogrom for “Change.”

I know that what is near and dear to my heart I do not have to check it to get it right.

This should serve as an indicator about an Obama presidency (should he win) – he will not have the luxury of fumbulation.

{ “W” used up all the fumbulation time allotted - no disrespect meant or intended towards President Bush. I believe history will record President Bush as a great president for taking the fight to the enemy!}

The time of trial and tribulation is upon us. There will be no time for TRIANGULATION or developing a course of action based on polling data. 

Mr. Obama is not our Savior and to reiterate, Senator, you are no John F. Kennedy.

P.S. BTW if one is wondering what became of the McCain-Palin signs you ordered – stop wondering. Go to an office supply store and buy those plastic “For Sale” signs and some permanent markers. I made my own field expedient signs yesterday and have them proudly on display.   

McCain’s triangle can be labeled “Experience”.  Obama triangulated to create the perception of “Change for a Brave New World.” 

McCain labeled his vertices of his “Experience” triangle: (a) Been there; (b) Done that; (c) Reached across the aisle.

Obama labeled his vertices:

(a) Spending (in sharp contrast to cutting);

(b) Higher Taxes on fewer earners;

(c) With him as President of the United States (POTUS), turn the US into The Great Savior. 

In McCain’s case, his triangle is perceived as history. Americans tend to forget that history is EXPERIENCE, until it is too late. Shiny and new is preferred to weathered and worn.  

I am deeply suspicious of Obama. I think he is the 21^st Century “Manchurian Candidate.” 

We already know the kind of experience he has based on his connections with Mr. Ayers (avowed insurrectionist), Mr. Resko (underworld financier), and Rev. Wright (liberation theologist) etc. He has been a student, a community organizer, and short term Senator. Now he wants to add to his resume POTUS – PLEASE!

Obama will rely on labeling his vertices (a) Fluff; (b) More Fluff; (c) Even Greater Fluff to further the Kennedyesque illusion and so long as he is allowed to get away with it.
